BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Children’s Care Learning and Development

1 Year Course
The programme combines college based study and practical work experience. The course is for one year and is an intense learning programme where you will become familiar with all aspects of child development.

The work based activity will be with children aged 0 -8 years and you will complete a minimum of 300 hours in placement as part of this course.

Progression: Level 3

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Children’s Care Learning and Development

2 Year Course
The programme combines college based study and practical work experience. You will study how children learn and develop as well as increasing your own personal skills. The programme will also provide practical work based placements within nurseries and primary schools.

Progression: Degree in Early Childhood Studies, Primary teaching..

BTEC Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care

1 Year Course
This combines college work with practical work experience with a variety of age ranges needing health or social care intervention. You will study all aspects of caring for service users and complete a minimum of 60 hours in placement as part of this course.

Progression: Level 3.

BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Health and Social Care (Health Studies)

2 Year Course
The programme provides an educational foundation for a range of careers in either a Health or Social Care, including nursing and midwifery training. The programme combines college based
study and practical work experience. You will learn to develop personal skills, and study wide ranging subjects including infection control and prevention, communication, diet and
nutrition and vocational practice. As part of this course you will complete a minimum of 300 hours in a variety of placements.

Progression: The course provides routes into university to study various areas of Nursing, Midwifery, and other Allied Health Professionals.
